Anyone else saw tonight's 60 Minutes segment on Wegovy? Thoughts (about the segment, not about the drug - I know there have been other discussions on this sub about Wegovy/Ozempic)?
I personally felt like the segment came across like an ad, especially given this is new year resolution season. Although to be fair, they acknowledged that the manufacturer of Wegovy is an advertiser on CBS. The people they interviewed definitely sang the praises of the drug, and said side effects were minimal. But I would have found it more balanced if they interviewed at least one person who lost weight and maintained without pharmaceuticals -- they sort of went off the starting assumption that it's impossible to lose weight by any other means.
