So here's the thing,I'm a 20 years old feamle that's overweight and trying to lose 30 pounds this year,I'm actully pretty good with healthy food and tracking calories in general,I started my journey 2 weeks ago and have been maintaing a calorie deficiet between 400_700 calories consistently and Im feeling really motivated and positive so far
The problem is,last summer I joined a gym for the first time and the coach there told me to only do cardio until I drop the extra weight and then do weights and machines and he INSISTED that I only do cardio,I tried to do it that ways but there's only so much cardio you can do before it gets exhausting and incredibly boring AND it made extra hungry so I couldn't stay consistent and eventually gave up
Now I joined a new gym and this time I'm determined to see it through, for the last week i've basicaly been doing the 12-3-30 treadmill routine for cardio along with an extra 45 min of strength training between free weights and machines (2 leg days,2 upper body, total body) and it's really fun but I'm just anxious if I'm just waisting my time
So if anyone been through a similar journey or understands exercise for weightloss should I ditch the weights and add more cardio instead?or is what I'm doing just fine and could get me good results?I just wanna know what's the ultimate way to go about this tysm!
