Fitbit Accuracy

I’m beginning to understand eating back calories burned isn’t the move, as many of you have said trackers overestimate exercise calories.

I’ve taken to logging workouts on my Fitbit app on my iPhone while wearing the tracker and honestly the calorie count on that tends to match up with the one on the treadmill (is this still incorrect?). Are they both overestimate? Is there a rule of thumb?

My other issue is that I’ll take off my Fitbit after a workout and when I go to put it on the next morning it will say I’ve already burned like 1000 calories or something crazy. This doesn’t really matter since I’m only logging workout calories, but what are your thoughts on this?
