questions from a noob

I am getting super conflicting information on how many calories to eat to lose weight in a healthy, sustainable way. I am 5 foot 5 and 270lbs. Work a desk job, i make an effort as of recent to walk daily for an hour but other than that, pretty lazy life. Some calculation say 2500 some say 1600. Ive been averaging around 2000 calories a day for a month now since i started tracking my calories. I am 4.2 lbs down from my first weight in but the lady 4 days the scales is exactly the same.
