I’m trying to lose weight and I know the average amount of calories needed for a 16 year old girl is 1800 but however due to my obesity when I did the calculations it said that I need 2300 lightly active and 2500 when I’m moderately active. Does that mean that if I were to limit my intake to 2000 cal every day that I could be able to lose weight? I heard that doing too much of a calorie deficit to lower your metabolism and that it’s dangerous for teenagers to do a calorie deficit but I can’t find very good weight loss tips for teenagers as a majority of teenagers don’t need to lose weight like I do.
