I am sharing because I'm proud of myself and I wanted to post about it :) Around early October, I realized that I was sick of punishing myself for being fat. I've always struggled with BED, so I was sick of the cycle of trying too hard to cut my calories and inevitably binge a week into it. I was the heaviest I've ever been at 334 lbs. I joked with a friend about having a new years resolution to lose weight when I thought, hey, why even wait for new years? I did some research to make sure that I did it right this time. No cutting calories below 1500, stay at least 500 calories under my tdee, and try to move at least a little each day. Those were my goals. No fad diets. I still eat whatever I want, just less of it. I'm happy to report that this morning I weighed in at 313.4 lbs, which means I've lost just about 20 lbs just from making small changes. I only need to lose three lbs to be back at the weight I was as a high schooler, and I'm so proud of myself. If you're thinking about starting, just do it! You'll be so happy you did. My one regret this time is waiting this long to do it right.
