New to this

Hi, I don’t really know how to start this so I’ll just jump right in. I’m a 22y/o f, 254lbs, 5’5. I recently just started at a local gym and I’m not really sure what I should be doing to efficiently lose weight. I’ve already started to change my diet but I just don’t know what exercises/equipment to use or even how long I should be going. I’ve mostly just been doing the treadmill for 30-40 minutes (about 4 mph w incline of 5-6) and the elliptical for about another 15/20. Also I’m not sure if it’s just me or if it happens to everyone, but sometimes when I get off the treadmill i feel dizzy like I just spun around in a circle? Anyways any advice will help. Sorry if this sounds weird. I’m really new to this.
