Hi everyone — Pretty sure this is my first time posting in this community, though I’ve lurked for a long time. I’m posting because the past couple of days have been really bad, in terms of food. #theholidays All in all, I’ve had a pretty good year. I’ve been working out 4 times a week with an online personal trainer since August, and I’m in much better shape than I was this summer. The next twelve days, however, are shaping up to be brutal, in terms of food temptation and going overboard. I’m spending the next week and a half at my mother-in-law’s home. I really like my mother-in-law — and she’s a cooking machine. There will be endless amounts of food, candy, baked goods, etc. Knowing myself, I know that if I don’t take major proactive steps, I’m going to eat my way through now and getting back on my routine on January 3rd, and it’s going to be a nightmare. I’m an emotional, compulsive eater when I’m not in a strict routine. What advice, wisdom, and/or strategies would you suggest?
