Hello! I've been kind of at a stump, so I decided to make an account and ask you all for some insight. I am 28, female, 5'4", and have a desk job in accounting.
I am trying to lose the last 5kg I have to go. The problem is my scale is barely moving. It's been weeks now, and the scale shows my weight is still the same.
I'll give you a brief rundown on what my life is like: I bike around 2-3 hours a day (to work, then back home). I bike at a slow, relaxed pace, so that's why it takes me so long. I weigh and log everything I eat. I even bought two food scales to make sure I'm not going over by mistake. I am on what I call a keto-lite diet. I try to eat less than 20g of carbs a day because I've learned carbs make me hungry quickly. I do drink "snake juice" because it has made my headaches go away and keeps me hydrated.
My diet is pretty much fish (not crazy about meat), cheese/cottage cheese or avocados/nuts, green vegetables like green beans/broccoli/brussel sprouts with cauliflower thrown in there, and konjac noodles/rice/spaghetti. I am a recovering sugar addict who can down 1 litre of diet Pepsi a day. I drink 2 litres of water a day, or more.
I do drink 1 teaspoon of no-salt, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of pink himalayan salt in my snake juice water. People tell me salt can make it seem like you're not losing weight or even gained, but I don't know how true that is or if I'm drinking enough of it to cause such an impact.
I don't eat breakfast, have a modest-sized lunch, with most of my calories going into dinner.
Based on the Loseit and Libra apps, I should be 1-1.5kg lighter than what the scale shows. I do weigh myself every morning after going #1 and #2 in the bathroom. I did try to use a different scale with the same result. Even tried fresh batteries.
I'll admit, I am pretty ignorant when it comes to scales and losing weight. Any insight would be much appreciated!
