Hi, all. In August, I started a calorie deficit that has since resulted in about 16 pounds of weight loss. Nothing too crazy, but very proud of myself as it definitely shows since I’m only around 5 feet tall. Anyway, I recently started doing more cardio as my car breaking down led me to begin walking to and from work. Although not ideal, I was optimistic about it thinking that it would accelerate my weight loss, going from a usual 5-6k steps per day to over doubling that. Anyway, I’ve gained 2 pounds in the last few days after starting this and although that’s not the end of the world, it still felt like it as it was really discouraging to see. I’ve read that new exercise routines can cause water retention, and so that is my only idea since I’ve definitely still remained at a caloric deficit. Has anyone had this happen before?
