28f, 5’2”, currently 155lbs, goal weight: 115lbs.
Short version, I really let myself go in college, starting 6 years ago. I look back on my old photos and look at my current self in utter disgust as how I’ve let my body go over the years. I was always underweight until I was about 21. Usually between 85-95lbs soaking wet, and then I hit college and things went downhill. I became engrossed in my studies, became sedentary, and ate on the go all the time with no regard for what I was eating.
Well I found some old photos last night on an old digital camera… circa 2012…. And lost it. I made a decision right then and there that my current body wasn’t going to be my forever body. I need to get myself back in gear and get in shape. So to start I have upped my water intake, and started C25K. I have a gym membership (although I hate the gym) and will be trying to go more regularly.
It’s already hard. I made a chocolate cake from scratch the other day and decorated it yesterday and temptation got me this morning and I had a slice. Needless to say I got made at myself and chugged a bottle of water & am now headed out the door for my second C25K run.
I can do this. If you have any words of encouragement, or want to share your biggest tips, or even to lament about how difficult this might be, please comment, I feel I could use them.
