Hit a huge NSV today

Just wanted to share with someone, because I’m so proud of myself for what I accomplished this weekend.

Weekends are usually where I fall short on my health and fitness goals. It’s so much easier for me to stick to my diet and exercise routine during the week while I’m distracted with work for 8+ hours a day. But I usually give into my cravings on the weekend and lose my progress.

I also have an issue with eating until I feel sick. I don’t like wasting food, so I almost always finish everything on my plate. A lot of times I have good intentions of saving leftovers, but I’ll eat until I feel stuffed and then I realize I don’t have enough food left to save for another meal, so I end up finishing it in one sitting because I don’t want it to go to waste.

BUT! This weekend, I was able to stop myself at EVERY meal once I felt satisfied, not full. And I even threw away some food that I didn’t want to save (although I did save most of my leftovers; I still don’t want to be wasteful)

This is a huge accomplishment for me, because I’ve eaten like this for most of my life and I always make myself feel disgusting at every meal, and then I never have the energy to go do things after eating for a few hours. But this weekend I ate just enough to not be hungry anymore, and I still was able to go out after and feel good.

I’m not sure what changed this weekend, but it feels like a switch flipped and now this feels doable long term.

Anyway, i just wanted to share that with people who would appreciate it. I hope everyone had a good weekend and has a good week ahead.
