acanthosis nigricans getting worse?

so i’ve lost about 40 pounds already, decreased my sugar intake, eating more vegetables, in a caloric deficit & taking more walks. but i still have the acanthosis nigricans. i understand it takes time but it actually looks worse. it used to be just on the back on my neck but it looks like there’s more of it making it’s way near the from the sides & it’s darker. my A1c is good, so are my blood glucose levels, im not diabetic or pre diabetic. besides low vitamin d & anemia & being overweight (consistently losing weight, only have 20 pounds left to my goal weight), there’s nothing else. i’ll probably get it checked out by my doctor soon but i’m wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar or has any advice.
