The lose and gain cycle

Long time lurker, first time poster. I’m one of those people who is able to lose weight when I put my mind to it. And I’m also one of those people who gets over confident, goes back to shitty eating and gains it back. I lost 15 lbs recently over 2 months and am pretty sure I’ve gained it all back. What the hell is wrong with me. Why can’t I just stick to a plan. Did any of you do any mental exercises to help with sticking to your diet / exercise plan?

Just to add, I am a working mother with a child who has special needs so making time for my own diet and exercise is really difficult. But it’s no excuse. I want to be healthy for him so I can be around and healthy to take care of him. The mental struggle of wanting to lose weight and also mothering him is so real.
