DAE that's overweight or obese experience severe cognitive impairment? Feeling hopeless..

I'm in my 30s and have had problems with depression, anxiety, executive dysfunction, and brain fog that I've tried to address with therapy and medication. I've known that my weight was probably a contributing factor, but today after having dug into the research and speaking with a few friends in science/medicine, I learned that my cognitive impairments are likely due almost entirely due to my weight.

Realizing it'll take months if not years to shed the weight before my brain starts working properly has sent me in to a deep and hopeless despair. This weight is wrecking every part of my life and I feel so underwater. Feels like it'd be easier to end my life at this point.
