Incline walking on the treadmill - calorie accuracy?

Obviously I know these machines tend to be off, but I'm curious how much.

I've been doing incline walking on the treadmill due to it's low impact nature and how much it requires everything from calves to glutes lol

I typically walk on average 2.7-3.0mph and 8.0-10.0% incline.

Today I walked for an hour, then another 25 minutes, and then a 5 minute cooldown on the machine. In total, it claims it was around 1150 calories.

Some important considerations:

  • I'm mid 20s, male, around 6ish ft and around 260lbs

  • I don't hold onto the treadmill cause that defeats the purpose, but I use the heart rate monitor once every 5-10 mins and I'm around 150-170bpm for the entire workout

  • I'm sweating bullets man. I think I'll have to wring this shirt out before I can even get it off lmao

  • was around 4-4.5 miles total

I know the machines are a bit inaccurate, but I've used online treadmill calculators that factor in in like and estimate METs as well and those tend to be higher

I know diet is more important but I'm just curious, how much can I expect a workout like this to actually burn? How off is it really?
