What types of exercise can I do to lose weight if I have lower back problems?

I had one of those moments where it was very clear I need to lose weight yesterday. I wasn't always overweight, I put most of the weight on around 2010 and after. Before that I was around 180 lbs (5'10").

My diet is fine, I changed that a long time ago, but I need to get my ass in gear and start exercising, but I have problems with my lower back. I think it's just the muscles not being used to the weight

When I try to walk to get exercise it starts to hurt after only 5 minutes (give or take). I'm not walking properly either, since the fat in my inner thighs are making me walk with my legs further apart than I used to, and the weight in my belly I think it what is causing my back pain (rotating the spine?).

I don't have a gym near me and don't really have the money to buy any, so any tips on exercising would help!
