How do you know when youre done?

I lost 55kg last year, from 155kg to 100kg which was my initial goal (got there from Feb to Nov). I was fairly content there for a bit but felt i still had another 5- 10kg to go. (173cm M) i also wanted to see what it was like to maintain without MFP.

I stopped tracking food but maintained the exercise. Had many blow out food days. Over the course of 2021 i quickly went up to 105kg but stayed there for around 8 months.

I started again recently and as of yesterday im down to 98kg. My goal was now around 95kg, but now im close, i think i need to keep going to 90kg.

This leads me to my question, how do you know when youre finished losing weight and want to start maintaining? What flicked the switch? Most importantly, did you hit yoir goal weight and feel unsatisfied with it, and move the goalpost?

Im frustrated that im changing the end goal yet again, a full 10kg from where i thought id be stopping. Realistically as well i need to get below that by a kg or 2 so when i reaise back up to maintenance that 90kg accountd for standard water retention etc. Im currently eating 2100cals a day and the idea of going below that honestly makes me want to cry 😂😂.

Maybe im really overthinking this. I always thought i was this big muscular person and i honestly thought the belly would at least be gone by now, but its nowhere near gone.
