Drastic weight gain from office job

I just recently upgraded from manual labor to working in an office. I've always been naturally thin and had a very fast metabolism, despite eating garbage all the time even when I was in school. I often had fast food and soda for every meal and my weight was still staying between 135-145 pounds.

Now, with this new job, I'm sitting down most of the day. Since I have more free time I eat a little better than I used to, often having cereal and sandwiches, sometimes fruit. I drink more water and less soda too. I've even started working out occasionally to try to catch up with my missing physical activity.

After almost 1 month of this job I now weigh the most I have at 160 pounds. I'm still not unhealthily fat, but the extremely fast increase is worrying me. What can I do to stop this?
