- Intermittent fasting, set meal times 8,12,4, if very hungry snack at 8
- Making sure my meals are balanced, enough carb, protein and fats. Helps with satiety a lot.
- If i get binge urges, what am i looking to fulfill? Is it hunger or am i looking to avoid issues?
- Think about the pain that binging brings, when i binge i often eat to the point of near vomiting and feel extreme discomfort/pain.
- Pray, god has always been there for me. My favorite verses that help me when i want to binge are Psalm 27:10, Luke 8:14, James 1:14 Proverbs 25:27, 1: Corinthians 10:13
- Limit junk, if i truly want it, have it in small portions, it doesn’t do much for me but trigger binges.
- Reminding myself i deserve better than binging
- eat mindfully, savor my food, be grateful for my food. enjoy my food. i’m not a participant in competitive eating, there’s no prize for eating the most or the fastest.
- New hobbies/ coping mechanisms i can use instead of binging. I like painting, baking, going on walks!
- the most important part in my recovery was realizing that binging itself isn’t the problem, binging for me was simply me trying to cope. once i realized what i was trying to cope with, i worked on it and what specifically triggers my binges. Messages r always open if anyone needs extra support for binge eating!
