Haven't really seen any posts talking about them so I thought I would ask directly. I used to work out a lot (including classes) but a lot has changed for me in the past couple of years so revisiting this more unfit than I have ever been in my life.
I used to be 103-125 lbs for most of my life but got sick and overworked in school and ended up at 177lbs. I'm 5'2 so it really looks and feels terrible. I haven't been able to focus on myself for some time with the demands of my profession and licensing exams but now I have a little time to breathe. Since fitness classes recently opened up, I've been going to bodypump and it's amazing how weak I've become (I used to do a lot more high impact and high cardio stuff, cross fit, bodyshred and used to even be an instructor for some time....) Anyway, I couldn't have imagined myself in this physical state (not just the weight but the general toll on my body, skin, hair etc... that I've experienced) so I'm wondering now at the age of 30 if ppl with ~50lbs to lose and a lot of strength to gain back find success with incorporating these classes?
