Does spending more on healthy convenience keep you on track?

I’m kind of poor but I’m thinking about massively upping my food budget for a few months so that I can afford healthy takeaways, pre-made salads, protein shakes and smoothies while out and about.

I can cook but I lose motivation far too easily. I have major fatigue issues so a lot of the time just grabbing a bag of crisps or sticking a frozen pizza in the oven or grabbing some cheap fast food while out is just the default option.

Has anyone had much success with this? I know it will help but I’m not sure just how much, I’m loathe to ‘waste’ extra money on food when I could be buying other things so it’s a tricky decision for me.

Would really appreciate any words of advice or experiences with doing this! I have 50lbs to lose and can’t exercise at all. I’m bad for not eating all day because I can’t be bothered then binge eating all evening once my blood sugar crashes.

ETA - I can’t exercise and I don’t have the energy to meal prep. I absolutely appreciate people taking the time to comment but ideas for how/what to meal prep are no help to me unfortunately!
