Hi everybody :) I'm new to this community. I've recently started trying to workout with short dance videos and watching the foods I eat.
I grew up in a very protective/restricted household. I was barely allowed to go out, was never into sports because I would get in trouble if I got hurt, and didn't have a choice in how much food I would eat (it was plated for me, and was typically very large portions).
This has obviously resulted in me, now in my 20s, basically having no grasp of how to be healthy and no understanding of what the "normal" amount of physical activity should be.
Does anyone have any recommendations for habits that I can start with at home? I want to build up my endurance to physical activity, because I know I'm incredibly weak right now and it's very difficult for me to even do simple 20 minute workouts. I was 120lbs at 5'4" a while back but over the years have gained ~100 pounds. It's made it so much more difficult to workout too, and worsened my asthma, which just... creates this negative feedback loop that I don't know how to get out of. I've been doing dance videos to try and get my body moving, but I'm not sure where to go from there.
Any advice and support will be helpful :)
