phentermine at borderline overweight/24.9 bmi?

i’m 26f, 5’6”, 150 pounds. i gained 30 pounds in 5 months due to being put on an antipsychotic medication, invega sustenna. when i told my psychiatrist about my weight issues he prescribed me phentermine 15mg. Do you think this is appropriate given my stats? I’m having a really difficult time jumpstarting my metabolism due to the antipysch meds and i struggle with binge eating. i really want to give phentermine a try but i’m nervous because i don’t have the same profile as many people who use it.
