I am currently dealing with a nerve injury that has sidelined me from sports for almost a year. I am working with my trainers to deal with the issue but that's a separate topic. I'm taking medication for this injury that causes me to have an ENORMOUS appetite. And it's not for good foods either.
I plan to contact my PCP to see if I can possibly either switch meds or get something to curve my appetite because the size of appetite I've gained from the medication has caused both an increase in weight gain from overeating (almost 50lbs) and a decrease in what little I actually can do to stay in shape.
My mental health is in the toilet as it is dealing with my inability to do my sport but I remain hopeful about my nerve injury. If anyone has any anecdotal help with how they've been able to stave off cravings or psychologically deal with them, I'd love to hear your experiences. Thanks in advance!
