i genuinely feel so accomplished and relieved to now be at a physical state where i am no longer disgusted by my body. i know that is a strong word to throw around, but i have been battling body dysmorphia and insecurities for a really long time. i’ve always been a skinnyfat kid and hated it. for years of doing nothing but cardio and not taking my diet seriously, my most prominent progress came in these last 15 months when i completely fixed my diet.
this subreddit has helped me so much! seeing other people’s journeys and the tips offered, i truly appreciate it.
for context, there is 15 months between the photos. i weighed 160lbs and now weigh 144lb. i followed a recomp phase for 12 months and then cut for 3. PPL program, religiously tracking my progress in the gym, and swapping my food lifestyle to more nutritious and healthy choices.
