Should I be eating more?

Hey all,

Female, 6 ft. SW 355 CW 325. Don’t have a goal weight at the moment, just taking this a day at a time.

So! I’ve lost 30 pounds in about 1.5 months, feeling strong and motivated to keep going! I exercise almost every day, I do dumbbell workouts 3-4 times a week at home, and cardio almost every day in the form of spin bike or workout videos. Workouts vary in length but usually at least 30 minutes. Plus I walk between 7,000-10,000 steps a day.

Because I’m tall, and have a lot of weight to lose, MFP recommends that I eat 2,300 calories a day to lose 2 lbs a week. I’ve actually found that I feel great eating around 1,800 a day, plus or minus 100 calories or so.

My question is—since I’m working out daily and doing my usual walking, should I be eating more calories? Is there a health or metabolic reason why I shouldn’t have a calorie deficit this high? Or should I stay where is comfortable?
