Lab results (I’m no longer pre-diabetic!)

TL;DR My cholesterol and blood sugar are within normal range. Triglyceride is borderline, but still lower than before.

So to give some context, my original blood test was in mid-March of 2022. At that time I hadn’t started losing weight yet, and I was at around 271 pounds. My cholesterol was high, my blood sugar was high, and I was close to being diabetic. I made drastic changes to my diet, and went whole foods and plant-based. I cut out all fried foods, and added sugars while trying to stick to as close to a pescatarian diet as I could. Honestly, it was pretty easy and I ended up eating mostly vegan.

I also started going to the gym more, but probably not as consistently as I should. That’s still something I’m trying to work on. I fell in love with HIIT cardio and do it frequently to work on my cardiovascular health. I have seen huge changes in the severity of my asthma through this. I recently measured my resting heart rate, and it was the lowest it’s ever been.

Anyways, here are the numbers:

Glucose- before: 113 after: 75 range: 65-99

A1c- before: 6.2 after: 4.9 range: 4.8-5.6, pre-diabetes: 5.7-6.4

Total cholesterol- before: 218 after: 168 range: 100-199

Triglycerides- before: 163 after: 151 range: 0-149

LDL cholesterol- before: 141 after: 97 range: 0-99

Non-HDL cholesterol- before: 170 after: 123 range: 0-129

As you can see, everything went down pretty significantly. I am no longer pre-diabetic, and cholesterol is within normal limits. Triglycerides are still a little high, but because of how much they have already decreased, my doctor is not worried.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I’m now 225 pounds for anyone interested.
