M22 240 lb starting my journey

Hey guys, I’m just making a post on here to see if what I’m doing is correct. I just started tracking my calories last week and trying to be WAY more active than I typically am.

I’m trying to stay 1500-1700 calories a day and I have been taking 2-3 mile walks outside in the morning, going back home to eat lunch, going to work, then later at night I go for a 3 mile run and do a little lifting (usually around 10k-15k steps a day). Am I on the right path? Please give me any tips that pop up thanks!
