Cutting, Bulking, Losing Weight and Gaining Muscle

Hi all,

I’ll start with stats:

I’m male, 5’9” and current 250 lbs

I’m way overweight and it’s no bueno. Back in January I started weightlifting and monitoring what I eat (not effectively), but I’ve been going to the gym 4-6x a week and I’ve put on some great muscle. I do legs/back and biceps/chest and triceps/shoulders over a 4 day period. I throw in some core but nowhere near enough.

I need to lose my fat, obviously, and just lifting weights and eating around maintenance isn’t doing it for me.

I’ve seen videos of people losing weight but getting ripped - how do ya’ll do it?! Do you do it with cutting/bulking or just eat maintenance but do cardio every day after your workout? I don’t want to lose the muscle mass I’ve gained but I don’t mind losing some if it means losing fat. Can anyone give any tips?
