When/how does gaining the weight back after a diet usually happen?

So, we are all (sadly) aware that weight lost is typically regained after dieting. I also know that the longer you maintain for, the less likely the regain is.

After about nine months of active dieting last year, I've been maintaining (or losing slightly) since about December. Haven't been counting calories at all really but my weight just reduced slowly from the beginning of the year has been staying at around 59–61kg (~130–135lbs) for a while. I'm happy with my weight and feel like I just naturally eat at my daily intake now without much stress or conscious trying.

My question is– when does weight regain normally happen? I feel pretty confident that my maintaining is going well but statistically speaking, can you start to regain the weight after a year? Two? Three? When am I "out of the woods"?

Of course healthy habits need to stick around but I'm just curious if anybody has any knowledge about when weight is normally regained :)
