I’m trying to lose all of the weight I gained during the last year and a half (lots of takeout and wine in lockdown) and it hasn’t been easy. I’m trying to stick to less than 1400 calories a day as I have a lot of excess fat that needs to go. However, I’m trying to also get healthier in general and incorporate more exercise. I’m doing boot camp classes a few days a week and hot yoga twice a week. On the days I work out, I track the calories I burned and I’ll add them back into my daily calorie count (i.e. if I burn 400 cals, I will eat 1800 calories for the day).
I know I’m getting stronger and I can feel my muscles under my fat (mostly in my stomach/arms/legs), but I still want to lose the fat on top of it, hence why I’m still cutting calories.
Basically… am I doing this right?? My results have been slow but I assume the lack of much change on the scale might be because I’ve built a lot of muscle in exchange for fat. Any advice is helpful.
