why am I still eating 3,000 calories.

I started counting calories on Halloween and I have no idea how much I was eating before, probably 5,000 or more because I ate fast food 3-4 times a day but now that I’m using the Lose It app to count my food which I have consistently done for over a week or two now, I’m still eating 3,000. My goal is to stay at 2,000 or under because my BMR is 2,500.

But I eat my emotions. I eat 4-5 500 calorie meals and that are home cooked which is FAR better than what I was doing, binge eating all the time and eating out.

I have Pre Diabetes and my middle finger has been numb for over a week. I have a fatty liver and my limbs go numb. I have to stop eating. I’m 25(f) and weighed 302 pounds on Tuesday and I’m only 5-5.

My parents were both morbidly obese and I was so ashamed of them growing up and now I am them.

I can’t ride roller coasters, shop at any store that isn’t plus size, and I can’t play with my kids. I sleep a lot and over eating is more than a struggle.

I was thin growing up but since 2016 I’ve gained 120 pounds and now it is out of control.

Please help. I’m in search of ways to eat less, things to do when I feel like eating my feelings, advise, anything that will help me eat less than 2,000 calories a day. I work at the YMCA and like to go swimming for excercise because it’s easy on my body.
