Last night I flew back home after a week at a conference in Lisbon (any fellow Web Summiters here?). I spent 3 days as a conference attendee, other 3,5 days sightseeing with my colleagues.
We mostly ate local foods, like you do on holidays - while I was still mindful of CICO and I logged everything, we ate lots of fried foods and pastries, and we had Mcdonalds while at the airport yesterday. We also walked - a lot. My FitBit shows 22,000-28,000 every day for 8 days, including travel days.. while eating an average of 2,700 ish calories. And today I discovered I lost 1kg. 1kg! After not eating well at all for a week.. and it will go down more, I'm still bloated from travelling all day yesterday.
This honestly is for everyone asking: 'Can I lose weight if I only walk and not do other exercise?' I'm not advocating this, as in my normal weightloss life I do a lot of zumba and strength training, but obviously WALKING WORKS. And this week proved it beyond a doubt. So stick with it everyone!
