Hi loseit!
I lost about 20 pounds between November 2020 and March 2021, which was thrilling and I felt like my goal of another 15 pounds was super achievable, especially given that I made it through the dreaded holiday hump.
However, in conjunction with my state starting to open up a bit I got into a new relationship, and grad school started back in person. A lot of my mechanisms that kept me on track disappeared (like being able to do workouts in my living room between classes, controlling my food intake by not eating out ever, and giving up alcohol 99% of the time) and I ended up gaining about 10 pounds back from my lowest weight. I kept logging my weigh ins, and while it was upsetting to see the graph go up, I kept telling myself hey at least you're not all the way back at your starting weight.
BUT, today I logged into happyscale and clicked the little button that said "make this my new start weight." When I first started losing, I told myself that barring the usual fluctuations, my weigh ins would never go above my starting weight. So now, 167 is my new "beginning" and everything is progress from here! I'm hoping that this little shift in my thinking will help me to get back in the losing mentality and may help someone else in the same situation!
