A few years ago (6 years ago) I lost over 50 lbs and kept it off until this past year. Through covid and going through a bad breakup with my long term partner, I've managed to gain back the weight I lost and then some. Now, at 195 lbs I'm starting over again.
It feels so frustrating to have let myself slip this far, not only am I obese again, I feel unhealthy and my body does not feel like it's me. I regained the weight so quickly that it's also sapped all my confidence. My clothes won't fit me and people don't recognize me.
It's hard for me to fathom, but I did this before, I know I can do it again. My body hurts more with the excess weight and being 6 years older certainly doesn't help either... but I know I can do this!
Have any of you successfully lost weight for a second time? Here's hoping that it'll be easier, older but wiser....
CICO old friend, nice to meet you again.
