I didn’t think preparing low calorie meals would be this difficult

I’m hopeless in the kitchen. I’ve been practically starving myself since starting a diet because I have no clue what I’m doing lol. Before deciding to lose weight, I would just rely on take out meals or food made by my mom. That obviously isn’t something I can keep doing if I want to track my calories.

I decided to order a food scale from Amazon and tried to put something basic together whilst logging everything onto MyFitnessPal. Long story short, I think I’ve just powered through the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life, and I only managed to get through it because I was so hungry haha. Any I have another batch waiting for me in the fridge..

I’ve tried YouTube meal prep videos. Those are either too time consuming or too complicated or too expensive for me (I’m a student). It’s just a bit overwhelming. Didn’t realise the thing I’d find hardest with losing weight would actually be making sure I get enough food in me lol. What do I do? What do you guys do?

Sorry if I sound like a dumb naïve kid. I kinda am one :) Thanks in advance for any replies.
