Calorie calculator online doesn’t seem accurate?

I’m a 20 year old female 215 lbs. I want to lose weight and I’ve tried various diets- low carb, keto, paleo, etc. always lasted a couple weeks then gave up. Struggle with bingeing as well. Decided to make it more simple, or what I consider more simple and not eliminate any foods since I think that’s what contributes some to the bingeing. So I decided to track my calories and protein intake. Fats and carbs are fair game as long as calories and protein targets are hit. Firstly, in your experience do you guys think that’s a solid plan for fat loss? Secondly, I tried a couple online calculators and all of them had my calorie range from 2100-2500 calories a day depending on the site I used. That seems high to me? I thought I had to be eating under 2000 but maybe I had it all wrong and that’s why it never worked before? My workout routine right now is very minimal, just walking trying to make sure I hit 10,000 steps a day. Tried more rigorous workouts but I never seem to remain consistent. Walking I can do daily without quitting. Any help is greatly appreciated! I’d love to hear from anyone who has more knowledge or experience. Thank you!!
