How did you switch from diet to maintenance mode? What do you do to maintain?

Long story short, it's time to maintain.

My trainer/nutritionist and I talked yesterday. I've been dieting and losing weight, and now that I've reached a healthy status for my body, he suggested we switch from the diet status. (I've also been feeling weaker during my weight training sessions...he believes it's inadequate calories, based on what I eat.)

However, throughout the past few months, my stomach has shrunk.

My TDEE is roughly 1700 calories, based on calorie calculator (I'm F/175cm/63.5kg and go to the gym three times a week--but put in the lowest amount of activity, just to be safe.) The idea of eating so many calories is just...daunting. I feel full so quickly--could be due to the fact that I eat a lot of fiber--and while I get around 1200-1400 calories a day, going higher sounds..wow.

I've been feeling tired/weaker, though, and if maintaining is what's best for my health, I'm up for it. I know about fruits and nuts, as well as more protein (protein bars?), but I'm not sure what else to add/how to get my stomach used to eating more again, if that makes sense.

I'd love any suggestions on what "clean calories" -- healthy fats, carbs, and foods-- you all add to maintain, and/or how you got yourself from diet to maintenance mode. Thanks in advance! :)
