Food Has Mass

If you're ever wondering why you suddenly weigh an extra half pound today, even though you only ate meat and veggies yesterday, just remember that it takes the average human up to 36 hours to pass food they've eaten! Even though the calories in meat and veggies may be relatively low, the protein and fiber can weigh a bit.

Water retention is another obvious answer, but just keep in mind that the mass of food stays in your body until you get rid of it! This isn't to say you should be afraid of volume eating. Just keep it in mind if you do a daily weigh in, as long as you stick to your goals, you're losing the weight that matters!
