Does fasting have a negative impact on muscle growth? (For women)

29F / 5’7 / About 180lbs. My weight fluctuates a lot. I have hashimotos along with several other physical and mental conditions.

I don’t want to bulk up, but would like to gain lean muscle. I’m trying to focus on eating well and exercising.

IF works well for me because I gain weight very easily and struggle to make healthy food choices if I eat all day. I have a 4-8 hour window most days and do OMAD 2-3 days a week. I walk 5-10 miles a day and do strength training.

Does anyone have any personal experience with muscle gain and fasting? Can I fast and still have optimal muscle growth?
