Are personal trainers worth it?

I’m on a quest to lose the 60+ pounds I gained since the pandemic. It’s been 3 years since I’ve properly worked out, so needless to say I’m VERY out of shape. My endurance is gone, my confidence shot, and I really struggle with motivation and consistency.

There are tons of resources and guides on YouTube/IG/etc that inspire me, and I know that if I just change my mindset and commit, I would see results.

But I also do feel like I need some kind of moral support. I used to train at a gym and do semi-privates and it was way more effective than just me exercising independently. I also feel a little more lost now because this is the worst shape I’ve ever been in. So that’s why I’m considering a personal trainer. It would probably stretch my budget atm but I figure it’s worth the investment?? I’m not sure tho. Any advice??
