Angel Locsin opens up about her weight loss journey
Angel Locsin, an actress and philanthropist, admitted to having "struggles and
bumps" on her weight-loss journey, but advised those who are on the same path to
go at their own pace and not succumb to peer pressure. On Wednesday night, when
images of her with a much smaller body went viral, Locsin spoke freely about the
subject.
Locsin is seen posing in gym gear to share her weight-loss success in
those images, which she posted the night before. Locsin recently showed a
closeup of her tummy with a cheerful face drawn on it in a new Instagram photo.
"To begin, I'd want to add that learning how to position correctly can help you
look thinner, as evidenced by my recent viral post. "I believe everyone who
posts OOTDs or watches 'Top Model' knows this," she stated, alluding to the
popular reality show. "So, if you're battling to lose weight, don't feel
obligated to do so. "I tell you that having battled weight gain for years, I
realize how difficult it is," she remarked. Locsin, who debuted in the
entertainment industry in 2002, has starred in a number of action roles that
have shown her toned physique throughout the years. In 2005 and 2010, readers of
FHM voted her the "Sexiest Woman Alive." She suffered a spine injury in 2015,
which severely hampered her movements, including the strenuous workouts she was
used to, such as weightlifting. A few months after photographs of her fuller
form circulated on social media, Locsin announced she had started a new diet and
exercise regimen to address her weight gain in June of this year. "Pressure
hasn't worked and won't work," she declared on Wednesday. "Just take your time,"
says the narrator. Your body has its own set of regulations. Just remember to
appreciate every inch of yourself in the process, regardless of what others may
say.” "You are more than your size or appearance. What matters is how you feel
and perceive yourself. Shine. Don't let other people's perceptions of you dim
your light. I know you're making an effort. I understand how difficult it is. "I
understand," Locsin says to her fans. Locsin said her own weight-loss approach
is still a “work in progress,” and that she is still dealing with problems in
the midst of her victories. “I was able to thin down gradually, but I recognize
that I'm still a work in progress. Even yet, I'm in a terrific mood right now.
I've been focusing on my health and attempting something new. I'll tell you more
about my process and journey when I'm more confident, na. "However, there will
be challenges and setbacks," she added. “I'm not going to let anyone set my pace
for me. But I'm excited to see what I can do in the next three months or so.
"Fats and all, I adore you."
