Hi friends!
I’m trying to get back into losing weight to live a healthier, more confident life. I’ve put on about 30lbs in the last 2.5 years due to a relationship, working an 8-5 job, and taking acne medication (accutane). I’d read in some research that accutane causes an issue with thyroid hormones, so I ended up doing blood work and got on medication (levothyroxine) to help. I’ve been taking it for about 3 months now and my t3 & t4 levels look good according to my doctor. I’ve spent the last year and a half trying to lose weight. I go down about 10lbs then always fall off my “health kick” and gain it back.
For the last month, I’ve been trying to workout and count calories (1800-2200/day). I log everything I eat daily and work out 4-5x weekly. I do weights for 3 of those days, and cardio on the others. I take a 30 min walk 5x a week on my breaks at work. When I did my weekly weigh in today, my number wasn’t any different from where I started 3 weeks ago.
Am I doing something wrong? Or am I just being impatient? I’m trying not to let a scale number discourage me, but I was hoping at this point I’d be down a couple pounds. Tips are super helpful! đŸ˜‹
