Im a little over 8 weeks into my weight-loss journey and There have been times where I’ve been perplexed by the lack of movement on the scale each week.
Luckily I decided to measure my stomach (belly button level) at the beginning of my journey with a soft tape measure just in case.
Lo-and-behold, a dramatic decrease in stomach size, something I never wouldve thought to take into account just now.
Since I run and lift, I can only assume that the slight decrease is attributed to some muscle I’ve developed along the way. I definitely have been getting stronger week by week.
But the main take away is, invest in a soft tape measure especially if you lift! The scale can be deceiving and it shouldnt be the end all be all in terms of the quality of your progress.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
