I just want to document some progress (and an accountability post)!
For years I have boredom ate, and in excess too. I've been getting worried about my health as a younger person, and I knew that it would be best for me to change now so that when I'm older I'll already have good habits. While I still do overeat, I'm pleased with myself avoiding boredom eating.
Recently I've just been chewing gum, watching videos cleaning etc to pass the time, and soon I'll pick up a hobby I'm interested in. I haven't been buying snacks (unhealthy ones that is) either. I used to just gobble down every snack I saw in front of me, but now I have longer periods between eating/snacking times. This may seem arbitrary, but just going 2 hours without eating is big for me.
I don't expect to stop overeating any time soon, but I still will be documenting my boredom eating progress. I will continue to look for ways I can curb my overeating Hanging up photos of people I look up to has helped remind me what I am doing this for. I hope that I can lose 5-10 pounds over the course of the next month or two (practicing eating appropriate portions), and I'll update then (good or bad news).
