Hi, so basically I've been trying to lose some weight, I'm a 21 yo 158 cm (5'2") woman, I'm 57 kg and I want to go down to 50 kg but every deficit I see for women my size states that I need less than 1300 cals a day?
I used 2 deficit calculators and TDEE calculators, and apparently my BMR is around 2000 (I'm active and do 30 min of workouts every day) cals, but I don't know if if I can stay in a 1500/1600 deficit and lose weight. The deficit calculator says I can lose 7 kg on a 1500 deficit in around 6 ish months, a dude on a yt video says I have to multiply my goal weight in pounds (12), like 110 (12) = 1320, and eat those calories for 90 days (??)
I've seen people state I will gain weight on a 1500 cal diet because I'm short.
I saw someone state I can do weight lifting and eat whatever I want :/
A lot of people says that a short gal like me should eat at least in a 1200/1300 cal deficit, (there's even a subreddit! Petite fitness) it's a lot of info, and I'm just confused.
Last year I tried 1200 cals for almost 4 months in my semester, I really did lost weight but I was unable to move and passed out in the middle of a class, so it's not a good deficit for me really.
I'm kinda scared because I have no idea if I can lose weight in a 1500/1600 deficit, I've seen YouTubers like Natacha oceane, lilly Sabri, Whitney Cummings, etc. All of them state that you can eat a lot and still lose weight, but I'm really short! :(
Any ideas of what I can do? I'll be honest I tried being with a dietitian but her diet made me crave sugar like crazy, I like to eat a little piece of chocolate from time to time but she took everything out and made me add stevia to stuff in order to subside the cravings, so I don't really like the idea of going with a dietitian, she also wanted me to go on keto but I don't like keto :(
There's no hope for me? Is there a way I can lose weight without having to do 3 hrs of cardio everyday or going too low into a deficit?
