I’ll break this up into 2 parts; one about my exercise and one about the medication. So nobody has to read the whole thing.
FOR EXERCISE: So, I’m very out of shape. I want to start exercising. I have a video game called ring fit adventure, I am on like difficulty level 2 and it’s still pretty hard for me. I can do 5-10 minutes though. When I walk my dog I can go for up to 20 minutes. Kinda pathetic but whatever. Is that fine as long as I plan on increasing my exercise time eventually? I also got resistance bands, I think those might be good as well. Haven’t tried them yet.
FOR MEDICATION: I’m working on my eating habits as well, which were mostly affected by a medication called abilify, I was binging at first, and it had only calmed down after I had gained over 50lbs, and I’m still gaining weight due to increased appetite. But it’s not as awful to the point I’m binging. Even when I try to count calories I usually fail. And I don’t even really enjoy eating that much, I eat super fast, and it’s just to get the feeling of being hungry away. Anyway, I am starting a new medication, topamax. It usually has a side affect of decreased appetite, which will help me lose weight since that’s the main issue. I wanted to know about others experiences with topamax. And how long it took to show signs of decreased appetite. I have just started it today.
Btw, I’m 15f, 5’6, and my highest weight was 280. This has ruined my mental health. And it wasn’t even that good to begin with. I’ve lost about 10 pounds and trying to lose more, it’s difficult with the appetite issue, but I’m hoping the new medication will help.
Thank you!
