SW: 240lbs. GW:175. Advice needed

My weight has gone up and down over the years. I was 170 when I started college, went up to 220, got back down to 190 via diet (walking + cold cuts for every meal, one "free" meal a week). Ironically, it was easier in college because the dining hall had everything I needed. Slowly crept up to my current weight of 240. I have been over 220 for the last five years or so. Can't seem to get below 220.

Anyways, I need to get this figured out. Intermittant fasting helped get me down to 220, but I stooped IF and am back up to 240. I started doing IF again, as I basically just skip breakfast or have tea (no sugar or milk)

Goal is to get down to 175 by the end of the year, earlier the better obviously. South Asian descent, so our diet can be a hit or miss (kabobs and grilled meats are not bad, fried foods not so much).

Ideas so far: 1. Meat and veggies only. Flatbreads occasionally. No rice 2. Tea for breakfast.

Any suggestions?
