Weight Loss for Everyone: simultaneously a W and an L

simultaneously a W and an L

I just threw my plans out the window and had my favorite banana bread and some pizza after a month or two of eating fairly clean (lots of veggies and protein, no sugar and flour).

It was really good, but not heavenly like I remembered. I finished both, but I could tell that it was more out of habit than the joy I was getting before. Both were kind of oily, and both very sweet (even the pizza??), and I feel a little nauseous and very weighed down. Now I’m wondering if it always tasted like this and I was romanticizing the taste, or I’ve just increased the sensitivity of my taste buds. Whatever it is, I don’t think I’ll be craving as much anymore after this disappointment.

I’m kind of sad because these foods used to bring me lots of pleasure and comfort and I’ve lost that, but also happy because that means the positive changes I’m making are working.

Weird.
